TOTALLY AWESOME PLAYERS!

The Totally Awesome Players (TAP) Program, established in 1992, and the newer TAP 2 ensemble founded in 2012, employ acting skills and the creation of a play to increase the collaborative skills and active creativity of adults with intellectual disabilities.

These troupes meet weekly, and participants create, write, rehearse and perform a play. These original plays are presented on the main stage of the Delaware Theatre Company and other community venues, including McKean High School in association with the Meadowood Program. In the past, the TAP Program has also served the entire state by offering in-school workshops at the Howard T. Ennis School, a school for students with significant disabilities located in Sussex County, Delaware, and Kent County Community School in Dover, DE.

Join us in celebrating 30 years of Totally Awesome Players—and in paving the way for the next 30 years!  Make your donation towards our “30K for 30 Years!” drive to ensure the continuation and further growth of programs like Totally Awesome Players and its newest derivative for children with intellectual disabilities, Team Action!
