The
Full Stage - Basic Set Up is designed for events that require a larger
stage space, but do not have complicated technical needs. Examples of
such events are meetings or parties that need a large floor space,
concerts, or other performance-oriented events that require the full
stage but are not dependant on special lighting and sound. This is an
ideal set up for the budget conscious Renter who may not want the added
expenses for the additional time, personnel, and equipment that are
required for setting up special lighting and sound. The following
information details the accommodations this rental includes.

and materials in the wings of the stage, and will make its best effort

Renter to accommodate their needs. FLOOR:
The stage is a hardwood sprung floor covered with masonite and painted
black. Note: DTC does not own nor provide a dance floor.

They are equipped with mirrors, counters, make-up lights, sinks and a
shower, as well as two toilets. LIGHTS:
Lighting instruments are hung in a "Rep" plot that will provide general
illumination of the stage area. Cues are limited to "lights up" and
"lights down". Lights will be operated from back stage by DTC
personnel. Note: DTC's control booth will not be accessible.
SOUND:
The acoustics in DTC's theatre are excellent, and additional
amplification is not usually necessary . However, at the Renter's
request, one microphone, mounted on DTC's podium, can be provided.
Volume is controlled on stage by DTC personnel. A CD player is also
available upon request. Microphone and CDs are played through
DTC's two proscenium speakers.
Note:
Renter is responsible for obtaining, setting up and operating any
additional sound equipment. If additional sound equipment is to be
used, advance coordination with DTC must be made by Renter. This will
help ensure, among other things, that DTC has enough electrical power
for such additional equipment. LOADING ACCESS:
The stage is accessible from street level behind the theatre through a
garage door (8' W x 9' H). Access continues through the Water Street
Scene Shop, up a ramp through a loading door (8' W x 9' H) to the stage
right rear of the stage. The Water Street Scene Shop may only be used
as a passageway to the stage; no other use is permitted.
PERSONNEL:
For insurance and safety reasons a certain number of DTC personnel are
required to be present for the duration of all rental events. Typically
DTC provides the following personnel however depending upon the nature
of the event, DTC may require additional personnel at an additional
cost. Stage
Supervisor:
Primary responsibility is to oversee the use of the stage, supply
information about the facility, and provide reasonable assistance to
the Renter to help ensure a successful event. The Stage Supervisor is
the sole and final authority in determining safe and proper use of the
stage facility by the Renter. This person will also operate the lights
and sound. Front of House Supervisor:
Unlocks the building and close up after the event is completed. The
Front of House Supervisor will assist in communication with the Stage
Supervisor, field any questions about the facility, act as the
theatre's representative, and help you feel comfortable in the space.
They also enforce DTC's general house rules.
NOTE:
DTC personnel are responsible for overseeing the safe use of the
facility and for the operation of DTC's light and sound equipment. They
are not responsible for presenting your event and are not to be used as
"labor" by the Renter. It is the sole responsibility of the Renter to
engage any other personnel needed for their production and presentation
of their event. For example, if the event requires set pieces, props or
costumes, the Renter must provide the necessary people to create,
locate, load in, set up and run these elements. If the event requires a
stage manager or other back stage crew to coordinate and manage the
event, the Renter is responsible for providing them.
