When Vivian, a brilliant scientist, is suddenly called upon to take care of her estranged 13-year-old autistic daughter, she searches for answers to her daughter's mysteries and is forced to confront her own personality. Lucy asks provocative questions and defies conventional wisdom about normalcy, motherhood, evolution and autism.
