Playmakers (ages 8-12) — Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (6 weeks)

Build your acting skills and creative expression techniques while playing theatre games and working with other actors on creating and developing an original short play! Showcase your work for family and friends on the last day of class!


Acting for Teens (ages 13-18) — Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (6 weeks)

Scene Study (ages 18 and up) — Sundays, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (6 weeks)
Fall: October 9-November 13, 2011

Explore and extend your acting skills through scripted scenes and/or monologues! Learn how to transform your performance with simple techniques for building and conveying a character. Experienced and emerging actors are welcome to this supportive class environment.


Shakespearean Scene Study (ages 18 and up) — Sundays, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (6 weeks)
Winter: January 22-February 26, 2012

Apply your acting skills to the text of the Bard in this exciting new class instructed by David Stradley, Delaware Shakespeare Festival's Artistic Director and director of DTC's recent All My Sons! You will examine monologues and scenes from some of Shakespeare's finest works and explore strategies for bringing his words to life through movement and voice. (Best suited for adults with some previous acting experience.) Buy Tickets


David StradleyDavid Stradley is the recently appointed Artistic Director of the Delaware Shakespeare Festival. For DTC, David has directed The Drawer Boy, Underneath the Lintel, Retreat from Moscow, 'Art', Picasso at the Lapin Agile, SylviaLucy, and All My Sons. Other area directing credits: Winter's Tale (Delaware Shakespeare Festival), Hate Mail (Act II Playhouse); Henry IV, Part One (Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Walnut Street Theatre), Sunday in the Park with George (Assistant Director, Arden Theatre Company), Coming Home (Assistant Director, Wilma Theater). CLASS POLICIES

Refund policy: In the event enrollment is full or DTC cancels a course, a full refund will be made. Partial refunds (tuition less $50 administrative fee) may be given if student gives written notice of withdrawal within three business days following the start of a course. After the third business day following the start of a course, tuition is non-refundable.

Attendance Policy: No make-up classes or reductions in fees are provided for students who miss class. Regular attendance and participation are strongly encouraged. No guests are admitted to observe except at specified showcase times.
