YOUTH AT RISK
These carefully designed classes and residencies use theatre to develop the scholastic and social skills of children with special needs. DTC's current programs include Totally Awesome Kids: Acting Class for Children with Cognitive Disabilities and Arts Across the Curriculum at Ferris School.

Past programs include Conflict Resolution Classes for Inner-City Youth, Playwriting Residencies for Children in Group Homes, Acting Classes for Children Who Are Visually Impaired, and Teaching Domestic Violence Prevention Skills Through Acting and Playwriting (in cooperation with Wilmington's Latin American Community Center), Acting Classes for Children Who Are Chronically Ill (conducted in cooperation with the AI duPont Hospital for Children), and Acting Classes for Hearing Impaired Children (conducted with the Delaware School for the Deaf).
